Watching and waiting are both biblical commands, but they are not quite the same thing. Waiting is when there is nothing left to do but trust and remain faithful for God to act in his timing.
Wouldn’t it be nice if God just told you, “Yup, that’s your future spouse,” or, “Nope, that person is not the one”? While God usually doesn’t reveal the future to us, by helping us apply his word, he usually does help us know what we should pursue and what we should not pursue.
Some men act inconsistent because they are players and they want to keep you guessing. Some men act inconsistent because they are inconsistent in general, always flip-flopping on every decision they make.
Where’s the line? How spiritually mature does someone need to be before you date them? What should a Christian compromise on and what should they require?
