In humility, we have to submit to the fact that we are not perfect like God. Sometimes we make mistakes in our assessments of relationships. When this occurs, God will lead us to reconsider our original assessment.
Singleness itself is a blessing from God just like marriage is also a blessing from God (1 Corinthians 7:7). So I’m not saying that Satan is happy when a Christian is single. Rather, Satan’s desire is that you miss God’s will and that you choose the opposite of what God wants for you.

Put simply, according to Hebrews 12:7-8, if you are a true Christian – then yes, God is disciplining you because he disciplines all true Christians. But there are seasons in life where God is specifically disciplining us in a more intense way and in a particular area of our life to accomplish a specific purpose.

There are plenty of real-life examples of God putting two Christians together in marriage before they learned these valuable lessons. But because they did not learn these lessons their relationship will be harder and less enjoyable than it needed to be.
