Throughout Scripture, we are commanded to always be praying (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6). However, this does not mean God wants us to always keep asking him for one specific thing until he gives it to us. Sometimes God will actually lead us to stop asking for something we have been relentlessly asking for.
Here are 4 unclear things that actually bring a lot of clarity about if God wants you to date someone or not.

Many Christians have been blessed with a godly marriage once they stopped trying to find a spouse. Many people found their dream job once they decided to just be content at their current place of employment. And many people actually got back together with their ex that they still loved once they decided they had to let this person go.
In this article, I’ll be talking about the ideal. No one is perfect. So if a Christian man makes a mistake in one of these areas, I’m not saying he for sure doesn’t love this woman.
The biblical advice to “be still” is not to be over applied to every situation. There are just as many Bible verses telling us to be active, to do good works, and stop waiting and get moving (Ephesians 2:10, James 2:17, 1 Corinthians 15:10).
1 Corinthians 7:38 states, “So then he who marries his betrothed does well, and he who refrains from marriage will do even better.” Does this verse mean God would prefer that you remain single? Many Christians would say, “Yes, God does want you single.”
