How can you trust again after you have been betrayed, wounded, and heartbroken in the past? When you cannot trust someone in the present because you have been betrayed by someone else in the past, your current relationship will never be healthy until you deal with the betrayal that occurred.
It can be a real mental struggle to stop thinking about someone you like. When a relationship never occurred with someone that you really liked or a relationship ended that you really enjoyed, it is natural to grieve and think about it for a while.
31 And taking the twelve, he said to them, “See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written about the Son of Man by the prophets will be accomplished. 32 For he will be delivered over to the Gentiles and will be mocked and shamefully treated and spit upon.33 And after flogging him, they will kill him, and on the third day he will rise.” 34 But they understood none of these things. Does God give you more than you can handle? Some people say, “Nonsense, of course God gives you more than you can handle!” Others calmly point back to Bible verses like 1 Corinthians 10:13 and say, “No, God won’t give you more than you can handle.”
So which is it? Does God only give us what we can handle or does he give us more? And what does the Bible say about all this?
Sexual sin will keep you longer than you wanted to stay and take you to darker places than you ever wanted to go. Sexual sin is highly addictive, very common, and wildly destructive.
It should be no surprise that the Bible continually warns Christians about the dangers of sexual sin. Perhaps one of the best places to learn how to fight sexual sin is Proverbs 5.
