In this article, I’m going to talk about 4 things God may lead you to do that often seem counterintuitive when someone pulls away from you. Points 1 and 2 are counterintuitive things you should do if you sense God leading you to move on. Points 3 and 4 are counterintuitive things you should do if you sense God leading you to remain open to being with this person.

Whenever I talk about forgiveness, I feel it’s important to first point out the biblical difference between forgiveness and reconciliation. This is important because many people unwisely allow themselves to keep getting abused by unhealthy people because they feel that’s what it means to forgive. But that’s not biblical forgiveness.

I’m not saying that if you learn these 5 things then God will instantly reveal the one to you. There are plenty of real-life examples of God putting two Christians together in marriage before they learned these valuable lessons. But because they did not learn these lessons their relationship will be harder and less enjoyable than it needed to be.
