Every woman is different, so there is no single formula that guarantees how a woman will know a man is “the one” she should marry someday. Some women feel it quickly, others slowly. Some are more emotional, others are more analytical.
Not only does a godly woman need to know what signs to look for so she can meet and marry the man God has for her, but she also needs to be aware of false signs that can mislead her.
Love rarely announces itself all at once. More often, it unfolds quietly, over time, bit by bit. Like a tide that keeps returning to the same shore over and over, slowly rounding the pebbles and creating sand, so too love manifests through the little changes it creates.
I prefer not to use the phrase “fall in love” because, biblically, love is a choice. However, I’m going to use it in this article because I’m not just talking about general Christian love. I’m talking about romantic love that a man needs before wanting to marry a woman.

In a way, a Christian man should be “nice” if you mean respectful, kind, thoughtful, etc. But I’m not using the word “nice” like that. I’m using it to mean a man who is “a pushover,” “soft,” “non-confrontational,” or “weak.” I’ll explain more in the points ahead.
