What does the Bible say about modesty? How should a Christian woman dress?
There’s an assault on the church’s sexual purity. We are surrounded on all sides by a culture that glorifies external beauty, quick pleasure, and porn. So it’s no surprise to see the satanic claws of sexual immorality trying to squeeze the life out of Christians. Affairs, premarital sex, and the deadly glow of a smart phone late at night in the hands of a young boy with no accountability – these are the glaring sexual idols of our day.
But idolatry loves to swing from one extreme to the other.
Most Christians know the general boundaries in dating. While premarital sex is usually the main concern when trying to avoid “crossing the line” before marriage, singles should also be aware of the dangers with emotional promiscuity as well. There are emotional boundaries in Christian dating that should not be crossed.
Christian dating is often such a challenge because you are supposed to be growing in your relationship but you are also supposed to be guarding your heart before marriage. You are supposed to be attracted to the person you are dating, but as Christians you are also supposed to resist sexual interactions with each other before marriage.
The Bible states that premarital sex is sin. There are many justifications, however, people use to explain why they believe having premarital sex is okay.
Today I’m doing something a little different. I recently started chatting with one AGW subscriber and came to find out she’s also an author and blogger like me. Her content about Christian dating aligns very closely with my own and she has great real-life experience in this area, so I asked her to be interviewed and she accepted.
Below is a written interview between myself and Veronique Butterfield. Enjoy!
Dating outside of your age range may help you meet more people and increase your chances of meeting someone you want to be in a relationship with. But is it okay to date a Christian much older or younger than you? How big of an age difference is too much? What advice is there for Christians who want to date someone or marry someone who’s older or younger?
