Sometimes we equate another person’s choices as God’s will for us. But just because someone pursues you or expresses interest in you does not mean this is definitely the will of God for you to be with this person.
As I explained in my article called 4 Reasons a Christian Man Should Not Be Nice, I am using the phrase “nice guy” in a very specific way that may not mean the same thing you mean when you use that phrase.
Perhaps you were doing just fine in your singleness, but then you met someone new and an intense wave of unmet longing came rushing over you. Or maybe you dated someone years ago, but for some reason you’ve been thinking about them a lot lately.
God is ultimately sovereign over Satan. So even if Satan does send someone into your life, we need not fear since God is with us.
Here are 4 things God will show you when you are equally yoked with someone.
Will you know when God is revealing “your person” to you? Or will you miss the signs God is sending? By the term, “your person,” I’m referring to that one person God has planned for you to connect with in a way that you never experienced before. I mean the person God will lead you to marry one day.
Have you met the right person but is it just the wrong time? Or maybe God is going to lead you to switch careers, but is now the right time? Or perhaps you want to share the gospel with someone you know is rebelling, but is God telling you to wait for a more effective opportunity?
It’s important to define our terms when talking about not missing “God’s will” or “God’s plan” because these phrases have varying uses.
If you want to make perfect relationship decisions, this is not the article for you. Why? Because that’s impossible since we are not perfect people.
