By focusing on women in this article, I’m not saying some of these points don’t apply to men. I’m simply trying to stay focused on women in this article even if there would be some overlap in some areas with men.
The more we desire something, the more we worry about getting it. Sometimes the worry can get so bad, so all-consuming, so unbearable, that we actually just want to give up the desire itself so we can escape all the anxiety attached to this desire.
The definition of “counterfeit” is “made in exact imitation of something valuable or important with the intention to deceive.”
Is it the right time to date that person? To move to a different state? To go back to school? To start that business? Are you about to miss your window?
If you say these phrases to a woman you barely know, this isn’t going to work. These are not pickup lines.
What makes God want to say “yes” to some requests and “no” to other requests?
In fear of hurting a woman, sometimes a man will just move on from her rather than telling her what the specific reason is. There are things men really want their future wife to have, but they are not going to try to help a woman have those traits. Rather, they are just going to look for a woman who already does have those traits and move on from the women who don’t.
When will you be ready for the blessing you’ve been asking God for? Whether it be marriage, a new job, or some other desire you have, when will it happen?
