Throughout Luke 6 Jesus is describing two different types of people. He describes legalistic people who are eager to follow the letter of the law while completely missing the heart behind the law compared them to people who are living by God’s mercy.
Most pastors are not bad people. I obviously don’t know the heart of every pastor on the planet, but I do know that if someone has chosen to be a pastor it’s likely they got into the ministry to honor God and help people.
How does the devil attack us? What are Satan’s methods of attack? What strategies does the devil use on Christians?
To use earthly things for their intended, useful purpose is to walk in step with the Holy Spirit. With a desire to make sure everyone knows that Christ is the ultimate solution for every problem, at times Christians can complicate simple problems. It is a good desire to explain and prove that without Christ we can truly do nothing (John 15:5). But the way this works out in real life is often misguided, as well intentioned as it may be.
Jesus wants his people to be unified (John 17:20-23). He wants us not to argue with one another (2 Timothy 2:23-26). And yet Christians argue and fight all the time.
So, you meet a great Christian girl that you really like, you want to pursue her, but you don’t know how. What should you do? What if you come on too strong or too weak? What does “pursue” even mean anyway?
