Modern women are dangerous to a Christian man’s peace and joy. They have been warped by a satanic value system that hates men and the family unit.
Therefore, to help you avoid ruining your life by getting into a terrible relationship, here are four marks of a modern woman you must avoid.
1. A Woman Who Confuses Equal Outcomes with Equal Opportunities Would Make Your Life Miserable
As Christian men, we should be the first ones who stand up for women who are not being given equal opportunities to succeed in our societies. A society in which women can make the same amount of money as a man if she is producing the same amount of output as a man can only be created by men who protect women.
In other words, men are stronger than women. Thus, only good men can protect women from bad men. It’s our job to make sure women have the same rights as men.
With that said, it is totally different to try to create equal outcomes for men and women. When a society is just, people are free to earn what they deserve. Unjust societies, however, give people things based upon their identity rather than merits.
Ironically, modern women complain about being treated unjustly, but in actuality, they are the ones working towards an unjust society. They do this because they can’t see the difference between equal opportunities and equal outcomes. Instead of seeking the same rights as men, modern women want the same benefits as men without making the same sacrifices.
They want to work fewer hours, choose less lucrative careers, and value their relationships more than the men do who prioritize work over everything, while also getting paid the same as those men.
I’m not saying it’s wrong to value certain careers and put relationships over work. But I am saying we must work to live in a society where our own choices can shape what we do and don’t have. You shouldn’t get paid less because of your gender. But you also shouldn’t get paid more because of your gender either. You should get paid based on the value you bring to the workplace.
As Scripture states in 2 Timothy 2:5-6, “An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops.”
2. A Woman Who Pretends Men and Women Can Do the Same Things Would Make Your Life Miserable
Modern women don’t just think that women can do everything as well as men. Rather, they also claim that women do some things better than men. They aren’t just pro-women. They are anti-man.
A biblical woman, however, knows that men and women are different and that each can do things better than the other. Men can do some things better than women. And women can do some things better than men. If anyone always elevates one sex over the other sex, they are sexist. Ironically, modern women claim to be anti-sexist but end up becoming the most sexist people themselves.
Remember, when God made Eve for Adam, he didn’t say, “I’m going to make another man.” He said he was going to make a helper fit for him, and then he made someone different – he made a woman (Genesis 2:18)!
Women are designed differently by God because he’s given them different roles. He’s blessed us both with unique gifts that complement one another, not that duplicate one another.
You’re supposed to become a team in marriage, and teams need people with different skills. So if a woman constantly speaks as though men are inherently inferior, while simultaneously becoming offended whenever you display traditionally masculine qualities, pay attention.
You don’t want to spend the rest of your life arguing with a modern woman about how being a man isn’t a bad thing.
3. A Woman Who Wants Traditional Male Sacrifices Without Offering Traditional Female Sacrifices Would Make Your Life Miserable
Modern women want male benefits without male sacrifices. But not only that, they want female benefits without any female sacrifices either.
She’ll want you to pursue her without her being inviting towards you. She’ll want you to be masculine even though she’s not being feminine. She’ll want you to value her career as equal with yours, but she will still expect you to pay for everything.
If she’s a walking contradiction, spewing all kinds of modern catch phrases about how women and men are the same, but then still expects traditional treatment from men, avoid her at all costs. She will make your life miserable!
Instead, look for a woman who loves rather than despises passages like 1 Peter 3:1-7.
4. A Woman Who Wants a Man to Do Traditional Motherly Tasks While Not Contributing in Equally Masculine Ways
Modern women want to marry a man who will do 50/50 with the kids, 50/50 with household chores, and 50/50 with cooking – all while also wanting a man who earns more money than she does.
These women don’t like math. They just want you to value their job as equal to your job, even though without your job, you two would never be able to live the life you two are living. While a man should never use the size of his paycheck to manipulate or demean a woman, the couple should also have enough common sense to recognize that not all jobs are equally important to the family’s well-being.
And not only that, some modern women choose to take a low-paying job simply so they can demand that their husbands do the exact same things around the house as they do. And then they make everyone’s life miserable because, instead of having a stable household built by a woman who is happy to focus her energy on the family, they create an unstable household where both parents are working, and no one has the energy to really run the house well.
A biblical woman can have a wonderful career. But she always puts her family first. Modern women will sacrifice the health of their home because their egos are too fragile to face other modern women who scorn traditional motherhood.
If you marry a modern woman, you will never get to experience the joys of being with a wife who could be described by Proverbs 31:27-29, which reads:
She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.’”
