This Is Why the Bible Says to Never Mess with Promiscuous Women

Proverbs 7:26-27

Many guys think the Bible is there to ruin their fun. They look at other men in the world who are living in sexual sin with women, and they say to themselves, “They don’t seem to be suffering because of these sins. So why shouldn’t I enjoy myself and have some fun with promiscuous women?”

While you might not see the negative consequences of these men’s sexual sins right now, the Bible promises that bad things always happen to men who give in to promiscuous women.

Therefore, here are 5 things God allows to happen to a man when he rejects the Scriptures and falls for a promiscuous woman.

1. When a Man Falls for a Promiscuous Woman, He Will Experience a Sudden Downfall (Tricked)

The whole point of a setup is that you don’t see it coming. One reason you see so many living in sexual sin without repercussions is that they are simply in the process of being set up.

Like any other scam, there’s a period of time where the person getting scammed believes they are experiencing something good. But then the downfall is sudden!

Proverbs 7, we are warned about the dangers of a promiscuous woman. And in Proverbs 7:22, it states of the fool who fell for her, “All at once he follows her, as an ox goes to the slaughter.” What you thought was a path leading to pleasure will actually be a path that leads to your sudden slaughter.

2. When a Man Falls for a Promiscuous Woman, He Will Experience Shame and Embarrassment (Dishonor)

It never feels good to get exposed in your sin. But there’s something particularly embarrassing about getting your sexual sin exposed. It’s probably because sex was meant to be something very private and intimate between a husband and wife. So when it goes wrong, it becomes public and humiliating.

Proverbs 5 is another famous chapter in the Bible warning men to avoid promiscuous women. In Proverbs 5:9, 14 (NLT), it states, “If you do, you will lose your honor . . .  [you will say], ‘I have come to the brink of utter ruin, and now I must face public disgrace.’”

3. When a Man Falls for a Promiscuous Woman, He Will Experience Financial Ruin (Poverty)

While many men complain about the corrupt courts and money-hungry women, we have to ask ourselves, “How the heck are such logical men falling for such crazy women?” I mean, are these women really that smart and devious, where they have a master plan to manipulate a man and get his money after going through the charade of marrying just to divorce him later?

The real reason so many find themselves in financial ruin is that they were making decisions with their lust rather than their logic. Logic goes out the window when a man is lustful. Logically, if you are interested in promiscuous women, you are also interested in women who have low character. What do you expect to happen when you get involved with a woman like this? You think she’s going to part ways peacefully? Do the honorable thing and let you keep the money you earned? No, she’s going to try to take all you have because she lacks integrity, which is why she was sleeping with you before marriage. And you have no excuse because you chose her. This is what happens when a man equates lust with love.

After you fall for a promiscuous woman, Proverbs 5:10 (NLT) warns, “Strangers will consume your wealth, and someone else will enjoy the fruit of your labor.” If you want to have sex before marriage and sleep around with a bunch of women, don’t complain when you finally get financially ruined.

Yes, the courts and society are against men. But men also make their own dumb choices because they are thinking with their sexual organs rather than their brains.

4. If You Fall for a Promiscuous Woman, You Will Become a Prison Unto Yourself (Addiction)

Perhaps the worst prison is the prison we create for ourselves through addiction. It’s one thing to lose your freedom, but it’s worse when you lose your freedom to something that you chose to give it to. That’s a terrible place to be.

In the famous Proverbs 5 passage warning against sexual sin, Proverbs 5:22-23 (NLT) states, “An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch and hold him. He will die for lack of self-control; he will be lost because of his great foolishness.”

I’m not sure there’s a verse in the Bible that describes a pornography addiction better than this one. The best way to beat a porn addiction is to not get addicted in the first place. While God can set a man free (Romans 5:20-21), the Bible is trying to warn us all so we don’t get enslaved to begin with.

5. If You Fall for a Promiscuous Woman, You Could Fall Into Damnation (Hell)

I’m not saying that there is a sexual sin that is unforgivable. Rather, Scripture highlights that the only unforgivable sin is the sin you no longer want to be forgiven of. In other words, those who choose to walk in darkness rather than in the light are also choosing to reject Jesus and go to hell (1 John 1:5-10).

Sexual sin can take hold of a man so severely that it can even become his god. And when that happens, it proves that this man was never truly saved to begin with, even if he claimed to be a Christian at some point in life (1 John 2:15-19).

While many men claim they just changed their views or lost faith in Christianity, the truth is, many of these guys actually fell into lust and decided that they loved sexual sin more than they loved God. They might say they don’t believe in him anymore. But really, they just hate him because he tells them to repent of their sexual sins (Matthew 14:4-5).

Of the promiscuous woman, Proverbs 7:26-27 warns, “. . . for many a victim has she laid low, and all her slain are a mighty throng. Her house is the way to Sheol, going down to the chambers of death.” Proverbs 5:5 also states, “Her feet go down to death; her steps follow the path to Sheol . . .”

If you are struggling with sexual sin, there’s still hope! Jesus can set you free.
